For the Parent

These classes are designed for parents of children ages two through six.

 

"The Learning Continuum"

This class brings together all elements of the child’s learning from the parent and the home learning environment, the school and the school environment, extra-curricular activities and any additional elements involved in your child’s development.  Parents will learn to be their child’s advocate and manager in facilitating the learning continuum. Parent will learn everything from how to help your child study, healthy eating habits, community resources and more.

 

"Setting the tone at home, when it comes to your child's learning"

A child’s home environment is where they begin and end their day, making this environment most important in their overall development and success. Parents will learn how to consistently integrate educational components into the home and setting the right supportive tone such as defined study areas, and times, homework support, and more.

 

"The Values of education growth for your child"

Parents must first value education before they can expect the child to value education. It is also imperative for the parent to understand how valuable they are in their child’s long term success. This class is designed to educate parents on the value of education and how it affects the child wanting to be a great learner.

 

"How to get involved with your child's learning process"

Be an equal participant in your child’s learning. It is just as important for you to know what going on in your child’s class as it is for them to know. This class is designed to instruct participants on how to volunteer in the school, the class room, and managing your time, and building lasting relationships with staff and faculty.

 

"Helping your child in a positve way with homework"

This class is centered on providing parents with the tools and resources to effectively assist their children with homework. With changes in education and learning methods, parents are often confused on how assist their child without confusing them or getting frustrated. This class teaches how to stay positive and promote a healthy relationship with homework.
